Rita Ora is on an insane publicity rampage! The best part though is that everybody wants a piece of our girl so she’s not one of those rising stars who “tries” to get her name out there. It seems like every magazine wants Rita Ora on the cover of their September issue, which is usually the most popular issue of the year!
In this news, Rita hits the cover of GQ UK. Check out some of the highlights of her interview with GQ:
On a change she’s made since seeing her popularity soar:
“I shared a room with my sister and I had to not make noise when she was sleeping. Now I have my own place, it’s like – I don’t even have to be quiet.”
On her debut album title, Ora:
“It’s my name but also ora in my language means time, and it took me so long to do this album. Like three years.”
On the best advice she’s received from Jay-Z:
“The best advice he gave me was, ‘Have you seen Chris Martin perform? You know it’s literally just him on a stage? And he just rocks it out. Jay told me, ‘You don’t need dancers and stuff around you.”
On her Jack Daniels drinking lyrics:
“I don’t literally take a shot of Jack in the morning, I mean, I have once. I have a few times. But it’s not like I do it all the time.”

Rita Ora Rolling Stone Finalist:
The fans have voted. Rolling Stone magazine announced the two female music artists who are the finalists for the national “Women Who Rock” contest, in partnership with Garnier Fructis: Rita Ora and Karmin!
Rolling Stone and the “Women Who Rock” contest are celebrating the outstanding and diverse array of female music artists who currently dominate the music world, with Rita Ora and Karmin being two excellent examples. The winner will appear on the back cover of the iconic “Women Who Rock” issue in late September and will be featured in the issue along with another female music legend on the primary cover.
The two finalists will perform back-to-back sets at the Rolling Stone Rock Room during Lollapalooza in Chicago on August 4. The performances will be posted on RollingStone.com along with additional videos and interviews for consumers to view as they vote for the winner. Us Weekly will also feature the finalists in the magazine and online at UsMagazine.com, where a “Rock Your Style” section will showcase style ideas inspired by today’s hottest female music artists.
Rita Ora is London’s newest sensation, signed by JAY Z to Roc Nation/Columbia Records. The gorgeous rising star has two # 1 singles in the UK, over 16 million YouTube video views and is touring through the fall.
Karmin’s platinum-selling hit song “Brokenhearted” charted at #1 on Billboard’s Heatseeker’s Chart and Top 20 on Billboard’s Pop, Digital and Dance/Club Play charts and hit the top ten at Top 40 Radio. Karmin took the internet by storm last year after posting a cover of Chris Brown’s “Look At Me Now” on YouTube. The clip instantly went viral and became one of YouTube’s most viewed videos of 2011. The duo has since released their debut album Hello and racked up over a half of a billion views for their videos.
Rita Ora is hitting the cover of Complex Magazine for the August/September issue, and she looks sexy as ever! But why does she say she is just “like a dude”?
She said that while she can be girly at times wearing her heels, she prefers wearing her Jordans on stage. ‘I’m like a dude,’ she told the magazine. ‘Jordans are my favorite. I wear them all the time for shows. I can get girly-girly when I want to, but I can’t perform in heels. I would bust my face open on stage and we don’t want that.’
Rita talks about how she gets nervous before her shows, but uses it as an adrenaline rush. Her older sister, who is also her road manager, Elena said that Rita Ora performs well under pressure.
Southern California brand The Hundreds presents Vol. 4 Issue 1 of their popular lifestyle magazine of the same name. British singer-songwriter Rita Ora graces the cover and talks about a bevy of topics – including working with Jay-Z, how she broke into the business and here affinity for Gwen Stefani. Also featured are photos and interviews with CBG, the White Arrows, a look at the brand’s Fall/Winter 2012 highlights and a ‘90s mixtape compiled by Bethany Cosentino of Best Coast. The Hundreds Magazine goes on sale on Thursday, July 19.

Breaking news: Rita Ora is officially blowing our pop culture minds. Besides her ridiculously infectious sound (see: “How We Do (Party)” for a refresher), she’s been spitting some serious style game, too. We already know the Kosovo-born songbird loooooves to play dressup, and now she’s at it again for ASOS. The new signee to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation label is gracing the cover of the September issue, joining everyone from Shailene Woodley to Elizabeth Olsen in the mag’s “It” girl ranks. The issue doesn’t drop for a couple more months, but because we love you (and Rita, obviously) we’ve got a sneak peek right here!

ASOS uploaded some behind-the-scenes polaroids of the shoot just yesterday on its Facebook page, and spoiler alert- we’re already obsessed. She looks predictably adorable in the autographed image at the top, rocking a backwards hat, camo jacket, and bedazzled top- totally in sync with her signature mishmashed playful wardrobe. And check out her INCREDIBLE jacket above! The spike-embellished graphic denim topper is a special one-off design that the ASOS design team crafted specifically for the cover star, so unfortunately that means we can’t snag our own. But that’s okay, because you can bet that we’ll be picking up literally everything else she sports in the spread.

We already know Rita is a nail art fan- the girl wears $100 bill nail wraps!– so clearly she’s upping the ante for ASOS. She has a glittery-tipped French manicure here, courtesy of WAH! Nails in London, all topped off with plenty of stackable gold rings. Hot hands, indeed.
The issue will hit ASOS.com in August, so mark you calendars now and let the Rita Ora countdown begin!

Peep excerpts of the interview below:
On Jay-Z: I was straight off the plane from London with rained-on hair! I think if I’d known that I’d be meeting him, I would have freaked out. Now he’s like my brother.
On Beyonce: Destiny’s Child was my band. I was nearly choking when I met her, but she is the nicest. I call her alien because I’m like, “How do you do everything at once? You can’t be human.”
On Rob Kardashian: Rob’s family make their lives public. Me? I’m very private. He’s a great friend. But the only relationship I’m having is with the tour bus.
Although Rob and Rita have been rumored to be dating for over a year, the two continue to deny anything more than a friendship. Rob was recently featured on Fox dating show The Choice TV. 0_o
